g-man, something is not right. Removing the spacer should not cause the problems you are describing. You did not re-intall the carb correctly. Make sure you have installed the carb correctly into the intake manifold and no air leaks exist from the the airbox either. Make sure that the throttle cable has been installed properly and the the throttle linkage has full range of motion. Other than that, you will need to go back inside te carb and make sure that the diaphram is seated properly, it has an exact fit. It must be lined up with the bell housing of the carb. Make sure that you correctly re-installed the needle as well. As I recall, I accidently installed the little plate that the needle screws into upside down and the bike would not rev above idle. Other than that, I can't think of anything else. Good luck. I hope you don't have to re-install the spacer as I feel with an aftermarket exhaust, the bike has deffinate mid range improvement.
